Default HDS-12 Gen 3 or Dual EVO 2 ?

I read the previous posts on this subject. Would like to hear from the pro's:

27ft Sea Hunt Gamefish
4G simrad radar
GS 25
NSS 12 EVO 2
175H W transducer
LSS-2 transom mount transducer

The question: go with dual EVO 2 or get the HDS gen 3 along side the existing EVO 2 ?

Are there any advantages of the HDS Gen 3 over the EVO 2 other than internal WiFi and simultaneous chirp/ structure scan ?

I figure with 2 units the ability to use chirp with down scan/side scan becomes irrelevant.

Your thoughts and suggestions?

Benefits either way. Having dual Simrad insures compatibility of networking, and it looks better. I run a mixed brand setup and the networking works no problem, but it isn't fuaranteed. So calling support because they aren't talking right won't provide much help because they will just say that isn't supported. Having one of each gives you more features as they have line specific capabilities. The Lowrance can use the new inexpensive yet to be released autopilot, and control a trolling motor with autopilot like capabilities. The Simrad will give you dual range radar on the 4G and integrated autopilot controls for Simrad autopilots. Stuff like that. I went one of each, but I have a trolling motor and a 4G. Also, any future capabilities you would be covered from either brand.

With two units I don't see any advantage of HDS Gen3 for a boat the size you have.

The Gen3 WiFi will only support the unit itself, you will need WiFi-1 for your NSS Evo2 anyway.

HDS Gen3 will not support dual range radar so you would then not have the flexibility to use both screens for this.

A dual NSS Evo2 will look much nicer.

With the current software versions NSS Evo2 is faster than HDS Gen3.

With dual NSS Evo2 you can use the bridge control to change the screen confirmation for both units in one operation.
