Default West Marine Sale on 70DV

West Marine is taking 200 off on the leftover 70DV and will be selling for $599

Any of the online guys still have one and can beat that?

Is that local only? My local store still has them for $900. I can get a 70s for less than $599 through a friend who has a boat sales business, however he can't get the 70dv anymore. I was thinking of going with the 70s to augment my 70dv i have now. If they go $599 at West Marine nationwide i may have to get one then.

Wow! What luck. So I've been looking for the 70DV for a while now. Ordered it on Sunday on-line from WM because they had the best deal.($799) Then I got another email from them on Monday saying it was back-ordered and approximate ship date was 3/21. No big deal. I can wait. On Tues. I get another email stating my order has been cancelled. Huh? So I called them and they said it is discontinued and cannot fill the order. So the customer svc person looks for availability in the stores in my area. One store has 7 units and it's about 20 minutes from me. So I go and buy it this morning. I come home and see this post. Crap! $200 less than what I paid. 5 minutes later I get a call from the WM store and that they are having a Friday-only deal where the unit is now $599. She said if i come in to the store tomorrow they will credit me back the $799 and charge me $599! All I need to do is bring in my receipt.
This is my first experience dealing with WM as I am a new boat owner and I know there are some critics of WM, but they came through for me on this one. Will go there again for sure as there is still a lot of stuff I need before the season..

Really thinking about pulling the trigger tomorrow on this deal, but I'd love to learn more about the unit before buying.

Does anyone have the 70DV or have experience with it? Not too many reviews out there.

Thanks!

The 70dv ships with an All in One 77/ 200 kHz / down vu transducer.

In other words..you will have 2D sonar for finding fish..and also Down Vu for looking at structure.
One positive option is the 70dv has a network pot and you can add the GCV 10 side and down scan at a later date if needed.
this unit also has sonar recording and wireless connectivity.

The 70dv has one version wiht preloaded US Coastal maps or the other with preloaded US lake maps.
It can also se the micro SD card.

Hi Semper - isn't there a 741XS bundle that includes Lakeview HD, Coastal US, and the transducer? If so does that bundled price get close to buying the 70DV and adding LakeView HD?

Thanks!

Yes it has the G2 Bluecharts built in, super-fast GPS, I was pleasantly surprised how fast it was to connect to the satellites when I installed my 1st one, and the boat had a hardtop

That's got to be a mistake. $799 - $200 is $599. If you click on it, it shows $599

Go to the main page, westmarine.com. It's still $499 there.

Yes but too bad when you click thru - it does the math appropriately and the price is $599.
