Default GHP 10 with twin verados

I am waiting for the reactor series to come out and hoping for a price break on the GHP 10 Garmin autopilot. In the mean time have been looking for a deal and checking out the installation manuals on line.
With the 1.2 liter pump and the GHP 10 and the verado conversion kit to hook up with the verado power steering pump, is the check valve kit still needed.
Some of the manuals show it being needed and some do not?
I called Garmin on monday to ask and they told me it is no longer needed, so what did Garmin do update the pump?
Just trying to get my ducks in a row so when I do pull the trigger I have all the parts needed, I hate starting a project and have to wait on missing parts.
Hoping someone out there has already done this and can save me the hassel.

thank you jimmy

Jimmy,

When you order the GHP10, Garmin Pump, and Verado Kit you will not need anything additional. The Verado kit is needed because the Verado steering uses O-Ring Face fittings. The kit has all the adaptors, hoses, clamps, etc to make it work with the GHP10. Here is the kit of you would like to see it.

so then Mr. Reimer you are telling me that installation instructions in the link here are obsolete? These are what I am refering to and why have not purchased yet. According to these instructions, if I use the 2.1 liter pump? No check valve, which is a no brainer, but you and the Garmin rep say to use the 1.2 pump and the check valve is not needed? So has garmin updated the design of the pump? I have been trying to get a straight up answer from someone who has installed one and have not gotten one yet?

thanks jimmy
