Default Transducer for Simrad NSE8

I'm buying a Simrad NSE8 and also need to buy a transducer for it. What would be the best option for the price? I do a lot of trolling and bottom fish between 60-300 feet.

B60 thru hull is what I've used with NSS for trolling, should be fine for bottom fishing at 300' as well. P66 is the transom mount version of the same transducer. The advantage of B60 is that it allows me to locate shoals of bait even at cruising speeds. Except when backing I don't think I've ever lost bottom track with this transducer.

The NSE does not have a built in sonar, so you will need that as well.

I didn't notice you plan to buy NSE8 and not NSS8. Then I would add a SonarHub and a B75H or B75M transducer. B60 and P66 will of course work as well with SonarHub as with NSS8.

What is the difference between the B60 and B75? I want something good, but don't want to empty my bank account.

B75 is a CHIRP transducer, combined with SonarHub this will give much better sensitivity and resolution. CHIRP is the future of sonar. B60 is a conventional 50/200kHz fixed frequency transducer.

I proposed B75 and SonarHub because they are very good but will typically not break the bank account, other CHIRP combinations like BSM3 with B175H-W and B175L may break bank accounts
