Default Fusion MS-RA200/ iphone 5 connection

I currently have a MS-RA200 with the older apple 16 pin connector to an ipod classic. The old ipod classic just broke and was going to purchase a new ipod touch with the newer smaller connection plus it runs on a more sophisticated software than the old ipod classic. Can I simply use a 16 pin adapter for iphone 5 or is there more to it than that?

Does fusion make a cable for the new iphone 5 connection that's adaptable with the older MS-RA200 unit?

The fusion website said there's a software update required for the MS-RA200 that can be installed with a usb drive. Has anybody encountered this issue?

Dont get the 200 if you want to hook up xm radio. The plug in will be needed for that

Your Fusion MS-RA200 has a standard USB jack on the back. Any USB to Lightning cable will work, (Ipod, Iphone 5, 6, etc).
