Default Simrad NSS12 Evo with 4G dome

I am considering which electronics to go with on my new 32' center console. I was reviewing Simrads site, and it says that the dual range capability for the 4G dome only works when used with NSE/NSO.

Is that correct? Or will it run two different radar ranges at once with the NSS

Should I be looking at open array or the dome?

Any other feedback on these units would be appreciated!

That was true of the original NSS, but the Evo2 has dual range capability. I've used it myself on my NSS9 Evo2. 4G is a great navigation radar. Not so great bird hunting radar. If your main purpose is to find bird for fishing, look open array.
