Default Bluetooth adater through 3.5 jack

I have an older stereo on the boat and through the aux jack have a 3.5mm jack where you can manually hook up like an ipod. But what I would like to do is connect a Bluetooth adapter to that so that any device from any location with Bluetooth can play through the stereo. I got one for my home Bose stereo but of course that is powered through 110v want something that works via 12v and can't seem to find one. I see this fusion modules but all literature seems to indicate only compatible with there stereo and or A2DP compatible. Not sure if that is something most phones support or not. Looking at Samsung s5 specs can't tell if it would work.

If you have RCA Aux in on the back of the head unit I would then look towards a Fusion BT100. This will allow you to play via Bluetooth.

Yea I was looking at that one. My phone is A2DP compatible. I don't recall if I had extra rca connectors but I think so. I can't figure out how the fusion bt-100 is powered. Do you run a separate power to the module?

It has a Red RCA, a White RCA, and a power and a ground. You hook it up to the accessory lead so it turns on with the head unit.

Portable, recharges with a USB cable. Sorry, but I don't have any experience with these devices.

I saw these and reviews where not that good. Also I have a 35ft Bertram and the stereo is in the cabin but I want the control on the fly bridge. Physically maybe 10ft but some obstacles. The other issue is charging I go on a 18hr troll trip the generator is not running want something that can charge on 12v.

Just google around for different models, plenty of them available.

Charges off USB, so any car charger, (cigarette style) should work, probably mini USB end. I do not know how long a charge lasts, check reviews.

Bluetooth typically has a range of about 30 feet.

WTH, for $15, might be worth a try.

If you want something hard wired, like others have said, (now you're talking around $40) then go with something that plugs into the RCA jacks, like this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds

Fusion has a model too. It does not have to be a Fusion radio, works on any brand - http://www.starmarinedepot.com/fusio...FYk8gQodFqQAig

The only issue I have found with this model is it will not charge and play at the same time.
