Default Lowrance for Chart// Garmin for FF, Radar

Hi - I have a 1040xs at the helm with a 175H-W and a GMR24xHD connected.
I love the chirp sonar and radar of the Garmin but not the charting, bathymetrics (I have the bluechart G2 vision)

I am thinking of going to Lowrance/Simrad for the eBox to replace the Garmin 2006 up there, to go with a display that runs Navionics. (2006 would be for sale, antenna and all if this pans out)

Has anyone else gone this route and if so, how do you like it (NMEA2K gets you anything between the 2 machines?)

Thanks
