Default Fishfinder GPS with west central coast map

What does it take to get a unit for a jon boat that would have details about the inshore waters from Crystal River south? I see there's a VUS011R Garmin Bluechart Vision microSD that would be an add on to I guess a Garmin fishfinder. Is there anything comparable, like a Lowrance Elite 5 (that I think has map built in)?

Ah, the west central coast of Florida. I thought you were asking about Oregon and northern California. All the major chart makers will have what you need. Navionics makes the 632 Platinum+, for example.

Nearly $200 just for the Navionics 632 chip. That's out of my reach. I thought I could spend $300 to get fishfinder/GPS/map, new. Seems like the Lowrance Elite 5 at about $300 had the Florida coast installed, but maybe I misunderstood.

I mentioned the 632 card because you mentioned the Garmin Bluechart Vision, which is in the same price range. Those are both high-content charts, but if you want "regular" charts, then get an affordable plotter that includes Garmin Bluechart (not Vision) or Navionics Gold charts.

The Lowrance Elite 5 is available with Navionics Gold charts for all of the US. I think that version costs a bit more than the version with the basemap.
