Default Garmin autopilot noise

Just installed a garmin GHP autopilot and the pump seems a little loud . Is this usual for the garmin pumps.? I recently had a simrad and I don't remember it being that loud. I've only done the dockside setup so far and plan on bleeding the steering again I guess there still could be some air in the system. Any thoughts.

What pump and what did you install it on? Maybe it's resonating due to its location or material its sitting on?

Yes, the Garmin pumps are louder than Simrad and are often installed closer to the helm due to the dedicated cabling used.

Don't know about Garmin pumps, but any hydro pump will be loud if there is air in it.

I have a Garmin and don't even notice it so the Simrad pumps must be as quiet as a frog fart.

Garmin pumps are notorious for "squealing" if there is ANY air in the system.

I installed the GHP 10 the noise must have been air in the line . I bled the steering again and adjusted the helm displacement to 2.0 which I have and I can barley hear it now with the engines off . Thanks for all the replies .
