Default Lowrance radar and Raymarine autopilot

I currently have 2 HDS-8 gen 2 head units, structure scan, and lx1 satellite wx. Going to add a lowrance 4g radar and raymarine EV-200 hydraulic autopilot system.

My question is about the heading sensor for chart overlay on the radar. Since the Raymarine autopilot will have a sensor, will this allow the lowrance 4g to overlay on the chart? Or will i need an additional heading sensor. If so- can i just use the lowrance point-1? It says for radar overlay. But in the instructions it says that if more than one heading sensor is in the NMEA 2000 system, it will not work... does this mean I will have to choose between using my autopilot and using radar overlay?

Thoughts please, thanks.

I believe if the Raymarine autopilot heading sensor is connected to the same NMEA 2000 network as the 4G Radar and the HDS displays, the overlay should work. Jim at BOE Marine may be able to confirm this for you.

The Evolution will support heading for overlay as well as for MARPA.
So you don't need the Point! for that.
You have to connect the Seatalk NG network to your NMEA2000 network.
Some more input "howto" you'll find here:

To add the the radar interface box(RI10orRI11)comming with radar) into that network you need a NMEA2000 to Simnet interface cable. Please refer Radar installation manual.

Im not sure what kind of boat you have and all that jazz, but if you do have outboard motors why not consider the lowrance auto pilot system and keep everything the same?

31 contender with twin 300's... Lowrance confirmed it will not work with this setup... not sure why they even came out with that autopilot- looks like its designed for bass boats...
