What are your are your opinions on the Simrad NSS8? Looking for a new chart plotter, radar, & sonar and am potentially interested in this one.

Love mine as well. The price is awesome compared to the Evo2. Plus it has higher resolution than the NSS9 and the screen is actually 8.4". The aspect ratio is more desirable as well in my opinion. It's better suited for displaying sonar.

Others will say the Evo2 is faster, which I'm sure it is, but the NSS8 is anything but slow. Ferrari vs Corvette.

I have it connected to 3G radar, WM2 weather, and sonar hub with TM260, B60 and LSS2 transducers.

This is my first year with the Simrad NSS8 and 3G radar. The radar is fantastic. The GPS part is good. I bought the Navionics Platinum Plus card. Much better than Insight but still not as good as Garmin Bluechart (in my opinion). I have a separate Furuno fish finder so I don't use the sonar feature on my Simrad. Overall very happy with it so far.

I have two nss 8's and sonar hub. So far I like them. I'm just trying to figure out which chirp transducer to install over the winter. They r great for the money.
