Default Johnny Ray Swivel Mounts

I was surfing the web looking for a low profile mount for my Humminbird display and ran across these. They appear to be pretty good quality but I was wondering if anyone has any direct experience with them. I'm looking to have a Humminbird 1199 display from the bottom of my t-top electronics box and am looking for something sturdy. The one I'm considering is the #209 with lever release.

None better Bob, used them on my Ark for my HDS 12. I'd buy one again in a heart beat.

I have one on an old Lowrance LXC-16Ci. used as a F/F.

At 1st glance it looks a little flimsy but that has not been the case at all as it has held up perfectly for 16 years of slam-banging-seas abuse.

It's side to side swivel function is great for best viewing either from helm or cockpit, and the push one button ( or lever?) and lift function very easily allows me to remove the whole unit including bail mount in 2 seconds after disconnecting the Lowrance cables.

These are the standard for mounts. Just get one big enough / strong enough for your application.

Use one for years for a Humminbird 997, 998, and 917. I have my NSS8 mounted on one now (actually the same one.)

They work great. They are very solid. The only thing I find objectionable is they tend to act like a spring without dampening. So coming off a wave, the unit will vibrate (not sway) back and forth. It is only a small amount of movement, but it is there. Of course, there is the other way to look at this: it provides some shock protection for your electronics upon impact.

They look cheap, but they have proven very sturdy and reliable. I would definitely buy again.

I have an extra used 209 if you're interested. The bracket was drilled to mount the Humminbird 997 tilt bracket. The holes might line up with the 1199. Of course, you can always drill new holes. That is what I did for my NSS8. Works fine. PM me if you're interested.
