Default Depth Transducer upgrade for Simrad NSO?

Hello,
I have a P79 thru-the-hull transducer on my NMEA2000 backbone and it is working fine. In shallow depths at times I lose the signal. I have been advised to look at the StructureScan with two bronze transducers. Anybody gone this route and can make any comments?

Thanks - Henry

That sounds like terrible advice.

This sounds like a settings issue. Check out the solutions in the following post.

If you are using a P79 with the NMEA 2000 then that is a Smart sensor ( P79-235-N2) and depth only..no sonar images etc.

What is it you want to achieve beyond that?
Just depth or sonar images?
