Default NavNet 2 not reading bottom

I have a new to me boat with Furuno NavNet II Electronics. I can't get the sounder to work properly.

I located the tranducer and it looks like it is an Airmar m260 in hull mount. I performed the I/O test etc. and it came out ok. From what I read it means that my connections are good and the unit is communicating with the transducer.

I checked the bottom level LF and HF settings and they are both -20. I have tried manual and auto mode with no luck.

Are there some other settings anyone can suggest I try before I call out the pros.?

Thanks for you help.

Considering you have a new boat..and you may not know the service history of the M260.
First..check the fluid level.

Sometimes when the fluid level runs low the ducer can overhead and become damaged....did the sonar unit check out o.k when you bought the boat?

Thanks for the reply Gil. The surveyor did not check the transducer for me, but I did negotiate for the possible issue. I will check the fluid level tonight. I did not know the transducer took fluid.
Looks like I'm supposed to fill it with propylene glycol, non toxic.

I will fill it up and test it out.

Here's another reason why I bought my last two Garmin MFDs, Garmin VHF, Epirb, and airmar transducers from you.- Thanks- Greg

The ducer tank was dry. I filled it and it already made a difference on the screen even though the boat is not in the water. I hope it's not damaged. Thanks for the help Gil!
