Default inavx charts

hey fellas just checking n with a quick question. i have just bought a new iPad Air with inav and built in gps. i have downloaded inavx but have yet to use it in the real world on the boat. everywhere i read it seems as if people download more charts from xtraverse.com. Are the maps just not good enough on inavx? do i have to download those other charts to get more details on buoys, depth abd reefs etc? I boat on east south florida and will most likely only boat here for now. I guess my question is why pay more for more maps? Teach me.

iNavx uses xtraverse as an easy way to bulk download charts, the charts themselves (NOAA rasters) are the same thing. Send iNavx an email with any questions, they are extremely helpful.

It is also great to export all of your waypoints to x-traverse as well. And then you can use them on all your connected devices. If you are a mac guy MacEnc is also a great desktop based planning app that also works very well iNavX and transferring data back and forth.
