Default B260 transeducer on small fishing boat

Can I use B260 transducer If my boat is 6.8 meters. I have seen in the manual that boat size should be over 9 meters.

And how do you guys install a transducer like that? My hull-deadrise is about 30 degrees. 20 degree is max.

The reason they show 9 meters is that the B260 has a 22" fairing..and on smaller boat it could adversely affect handling etc.

You can pocket mount the B260 element and thus avoid the fairing.
Of you can use the SS264N pair ..those are flush mounted.
Or use the Tm260 transom mount.

I have an inboard engine so I can not use the transom mount then?

pocket mount the B260 element sounds like a goog idea. Do you have some tips/sketch on how to do that?

And you are sure i dont need high speed faring to get a good result?

Can I make a box in fiberglass and place transducer and fairing on this?

I was thinking to make rounded edges in front and back of the box

And bottom of the box will be parallell with bottom
