Default Lowrance fuel sensor problems

Having trouble with Lowrance customer service standing behine there ep-60 sensors. I bought two over a year ago to replace a bad one out of my two. Both of them were defective. First one dead out of the box. Took the 9 month to replace. I contacted them the just before the warretee was out of the second on which has not work completely right. Low flow readings were off and the rest was good. that was in July, They kep sending me any email stating that an RA number was sent, but it was not attacted. So I called the first of August. They gave me an Ra number and told me not to send the old one back. I thought ok, no problem. Still nothing. I am sorry, it is not my fault Lowrance builds junk. My HDS unit will go into a reboot cycle if it is in the sun for a few hours. I have to kill the power to make it stop. This is after the firm ware update witch fixed other issue's.

I love my Hds unit with the fuel sensors and the navoinics maps. I just want it to do what it is supposed to do. and the is WORK.

Just venting. feel I have getting the runaround from lowrance.

never had your issues with customer service, always left me very satisfied.
I have EP-60 on my boat and thought I had a defective one too- they sent me a new one after a few calls.
I had HDS-8 Gen I and had some problems such that they sent me a new unit, then it had a problem- They sent me a new HDS-8 Gen II-1.5 years ago and have never had a problem since !
On you fuel flow- My symptom was inaccurate or non-existent flow readings at idle and clutch speed.
My problem--Air bubbles in the fuel line due to leaking fuel pick-up on my tank !!!
Might want to check that first- I never had a real issue with the EP-60--it was me !

finaly got my replacement sensor. Hope it's good. I have had a lot of bad luck with these things. First two work good then one went bad. So I bought two, Both new ones were not right out of the box. They were slow, but it they got it right this time, I will be worth it.
