Default which LCD display?

I am considering upgrading to a Furuno Nav Net 3d black box system. The Furuno LCD displays are rediculously costly and the Nauticomp arent much less has anyone tried any of the other numerous manufacturers product? Stealth, Green, Vartech, etc..The Stealth looks nice and is a touch over 2k, just looking for some real world input THX

I have actually seen some of the commercial towboats that I get on have Vartech LCD Displays for their larger 2117 Radars and they give a nice picture. The LCD monitors that are supplied with the Radar from Furuno are noticeably crisper, but they still look good on Vartechs. As for the other brands I haven't seen first hand.

Not sure whether you've already started buying but I've got a used NN3D Black Box system I can pair with either 15" or 17" VEI Super Suns, total price for the black box, controller, 2 Displays, GP-330B w/NMEA 2000 backbone, and updated charts as of 2014 would be around $5500 shipped to your door. Feel free to PM or call if interested.
