In your price range you can get some very good units..with more current technology and full warrant.

You will find new Garmin, Furuno , Lowrance and Simrad units all in your price range.

I have the Si Tex SVS 760 CF. Love it. Comes with cMap Max charts. Super fish finder as well...in that price range. Another good one is a Simrad NSS 7. Im not a fan of Lowrance. Garmin makes good plotters, but there are better sounders. Furuno makes a great sounder as well, but the combo units in your price range have had problems.
