Default Jl audio questions with pics Parker 21SE

I currently have 4 M770 speakers and a M400/4 amp installed in my CC. The sound is awesome and the bass is not bad but i was thinking of removing the two front facing speakers and replacing them with two M880's. would this amp be ok powering them? I am NOT willing to buy another amp or add a sub, simply change the two front out. thanks for ur help.

Another option is bridge the M400/4 to power the M880 and run the 2 M770 off the head unit fusion msra205?

880 not worth it. Get a sub if you want bass

Wet Sounds AS10 10 inch sealed enclosure with built in amp. simple install and good solid bass.

Yes it will work with the console being closed up

im afraid of the sound not making it out of the sealed CC, a few months back i tried putting my 8" self amped bazooka in the CC and it made zero difference with the two hatches closed, do you think this would still happen with the wet sound ?

I have installed several JL audio speakers / systems on boats and currently have two boats with JL systems.

The short answer is yes, the M880s will work and give you more bass and you can keep the same amp. There are several sites on a google search that show you can get them for about $440.00. Of course JL's site says it will work with as little as 50w channel but recommends 125.

I have also found that if you have a local audio shop near you, and tell them you are going to install some, they will work with you on the price to get close to what you can find on the internet. At least that's the case where I live.

The cut out should be very easy to do since you are just going out from your current one by a small amount.

Mike at International Marine put me on some great deals along with support. He even answered a few questions over the weekend.
