Default Buying used Epirb's

A good friend bought a 23' Yamaha jet boat with 11 hours on it. With the boat came 2 Epirbs that he never plans to use because the boat will never be on anything other the same lakes around here. He has offered them to me to purchase. My question is, how do I go about un-registering them if the are registered to his boat or finding out if they are registered?

Those are good units..you will never regret having them ..

This couple in the story below could have used them for sure..
