Default Lowrance HDS 10 help/advice

I recently purchased a 20 ft aluminum boat with outdated electronics. The lowrance hds 10 seems like a good unit for my price point. I found a deal on the hds 10 with lss2 83/200 structure scan package. I do a lot of saltwater fishing in the 75-300 ft range, but occasionally will fish down 500 ft. I will also use this boat to fish freshwater lakes. My question is: If I buy this package can I then add a p66 50/200 transducer and toggle between the two? Is this a pain in the arse to try to set up correctly?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this subject,

You can get an SB-9BL Switch box which allows 2 transducers to be hooked to 1 unit and it will allow you to alternate between one or the other transducer. So yes, you absolutely can do that.

Thanks Keith. Will these two transducers interfere with each other? I assume the mounting configuration will have something to do with preventing interference, but this will be my first transducer install and I want to make sure I do it correctly.

Only the 200kHz if you run them at the same time will interfere, but if you run one on 50kHz and the other on 83kHz, you shouldn't have a problem.

The way that the switch works is it completely switches power from 1 transducer to another basically turning one into a paperweight while the other is in use. So it will prevent interference from happening.
