Default Standard Horizon CPF 190i vs others

I saw the standard horizon advertised on line for less than $400 including transducer. I would use this mostly in a relatively shallow water river and occasionally in the Chesapeake Bay. My question is how does the depth finder fish finder on the standard horizon compare with similarly priced Garmin Lowrance units I am attracted to Standard Horizon by its good 3 year warranty, the good GPS and customer support..

It's fair @ best. The CP190i is kind of old hat now. It's not terrible, but for a FF you could do better. I owned the CP390i (7" screen) for a season & gave it to my friend. Lost $800.00+ in the process. I could have sold it on ebay, but he needed a unit & he's a good friend.
