Some people are actually using their equipment in freshwater, I'm fishing at depths up to 1500' in freshwater with my Simrad (not Sinrad) gear.

It would be less work for me to list what from the Simrad catalog I don't have than what I have

Good thing it lets you multi-select. I have Simrad + Lowrance, fish every type of fish off Key Largo

Not all on the same boat, but my current electronics are:
Lowrance Elite 4 HDI
Lowrance Elite 5 HDI
Lowrance HDS 5x Gen 1
Lowrance HDS 5 Gen 2
Lowrance HDS 8 Gen 1
Lowrance StructureScan HD module (LSS-2)
Lowrance StructureScan module (LSS-1)
Lowrance SonarHub module

Ducers:
HST-WSBL
83/200/455/800-HDI
HST- DFSBL
Airmar P66
Airmar TM150M
LSS-1
LSS-2

Freshwater mostly, and some inshore saltwater.
Future: Lowrance HDS Gen 3 (perhaps combined with Simrad NSS Evo2 depending on what functions and interface the next gen HDS comes with.)

I am Chesapeake Bay and near coastal in the Mid-Atlantic

Just updated my electronics to Furuno this year due to wanting durability and longevity of support since I am on the water a lot and don't want downtime. May not have the latest and greatest stuff like structure scan but navigation and fish finding is very good and can be counted on.

Furuno TZT9 Navigation
Furuno 4kw 24" dome radar
Furuno GP1870F back up plotter/fishfinder

I have Raymarine:
E120, E80
10K radar
1K shoot thru hull
1K wide beam in hull
DSM300
All of the pieces have been sent in for repair at some point.
I am going to update but due to functional obsolescence looks like I will be replacing everything.
Totally confused, stay with Raymarine, go to Simrad or Garmin.
Ft. Lauderdale boat show coming up, hopefully I can get some help sorting this out.
