Default NSS 8 / LSS2 / Chirp Question

Just got my B150M and LSS2 installation completed last Friday. Still have some work to do to dial in the Chirp, but am really happy with it so far (once I figure out how to get it to hold bottom above 10-15 knots on a calm day in 40ft of water +/-).

My question is....I know I can use Chirp and Structure Scan at the same time. But when I select any of the Structure Scan pages, every screen is stuck in paused mode. I'm sure this must be something simple I'm missing.....any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
CC

No, you can't use CHIRP and StructureScan at the same time without having an additional source for either CHIRP or StructureScan.

If you have NSS8, what is LSS2 plugged into? What is B150M plugged into?

Sorry for the typo Abbor...I know I can't use them both at the same time. My issue is that the structure scan is stuck on pause when attempting to only use it and not the B150. I should be able to use one or the other at any given time right?

Thanks

Stiletto - the LSS2 and B150 are connected to a Sonar Hub on NMEA2000 to the NSS8. Looks like I left that detail out of the original post.

I think they have a software bug in this arena. I have an HDS Touch as my structure scan source and when I put my Evo2 on CHIRP it says paused on my structure scan window. I will be using it on the water this weekend and next week so I will know more then. I only used it in my driveway so far and for a limited time.

When I had my rm150, I had to deal with ss being paused annoyingly often. I would just have to be sure to get out of chirp and make sure I was set at a fixed frequency. It may be a settings issue. Royal pita, though. I have 50/200 Ducer going through unit with only lss2 in sonarhub. Still gets paused sometimes.

(My tm150 is at the bottom of the gulf if anyone wants to salvage--I hit a big wave wrong and apparently the bracket didn't not handle it--unknowingly dragged around until motors cut it off. ).

I just grabbed the latest software update to apply. Hopefully that will help? I didn't expect to be able to use both at the same time, but I had hoped for a little more ease of use when shifting from one to the other.
