Default Simrad NSS7 review

I'm in the market for a new gps/chartplotter and it looks like the size and features to cost ratio of this unit are the best deal around. West Marine has it for $799.

Does anyone have this unit?

How well does it work with transom mount ducer?

Anything to watch out for?

thanks

Works very well with a P66 transom mount. I've had NSS7 since 2011. I've just sold one NSS7 after upgrading to NSS Evo2, but still has one NSS7 and one NSS12. Good fishfinder, good as chart plotter and excellent user interface. Also very reliable units, for $799 just buy it. The only reason not to buy NSS7 would be installation space and budget for NSS8.

I've installed and sold quite a few, in the past 3 years we (west marine in st. pete) have NOT had any of them returned nor have we had any "PLUS Plan" claims on it, it's a great unit and has a lot of features for the money. Easy to hook up and install and it's easy to network to other accessories as well.

I have two.... And I really like them. I am not a tech-head. So I can't argue about who has the best flux capicetor. But it does what I want it to do. No complaints. I like the UI and the combination of touch screen with rotatry nob is nice.

I have the NSS7 as well. Bought last year for well over $799. Great unit, easy to use. Looooots of little features that can make life easier and fishing very productive, it takes time to master all the shortcuts and features. Countless hours sitting in my driveway on the boat like a weirdo playing with settings and such.
I believe I have the 50-200 transom mount transducer. Does great job in shallow and offshore.
