Default Which frequency for TM150M

I have a Garmin 547XS which can change the frequency's available to the transducer. I have the Airmar TM150M which says its frequency range is between 95 and 155KHz. Which frequency should I use f or shallow water (30 and less) when not in the chirp mode. I assume 155 KHz would be best, is this correct? Can I also change the frequency when in chirp mode or is this fixed?

CHIRP will give best results (resolution)at the depths you fish since it sweeping all the frequencies from 95 to 155 kHz. At 150' and deeper 95kHz can have better depth penetration with this setup at the expense of reduced resolution. 155 kHz will be the fixed frequency with best resolution, 95 kHz will be the frequency giving the widest signal cone (coverage).
