The old style M260 metal top ....is a metal top with a TM260 head bolted to it.

You can take the TM 265 head and bolt the head right up to the metal top.....just like with the Tm260 head.

The Tm265 and the TM260 have the same bolt pattern.

Tm265 head without the bracket...this will bolt to the metal top.

Or even better you can use the CM265C.

What, if anything will a person currently running an M260 with a GSD22 and a 4210, gain from going to the M265?

First..I think just going to a GSD 24 from a GSD 22 may be a noticeable improvement.

To go to a M265 of course they will need to step up to the GSD26 ..I have seen a good bit greater overall depth capability and better detection of targets holding close to the bottom.

But overall ...I am not a fan of 8 element shoot thru units for deep water. .
