Default Fish Finder problem

I have a standard horizon 300 chart plotter/ fish finder and the fish finder started acting up this season. It works sometimes and other times the screen does not move does not read depth and shows a no data message on the screen. I have sprayed the connections on the back with WD-40. The unit works fine in the chart-plotter mode. Could the transducer be bad. The unit is 3 years old. My battery in the boat is 3 years old also, could a low voltage situation cause the fish finder to show no data or is the transducer the likely culprit.

X-ducer or connection would be my guess....But Contact cleaner 1st.....Then a smigen of diaelectric grease is what you want.
