Default Help with tm150 transducer placement

Where would be the best place for my transducer? The two holes on the transom is where my last transducer was. the tm150 hole would have to be lower and would conflict with the strap. Also is it too close to the trim tab?

I would put it directly below that metal support rod unles there is a strake forward of that area on the bottom of the hull. You should take the boat out for test run to confirm that you have clean water flowing in area at speed if you have any doughts. One thing you could consider is mounting a small mounting pad (using the existing holes) and then fine tune the placement before drilling into the actual boat. Getting good high speed performance sometimes requires making adjustments including the location. Just a thought.

Thanks. I placed it just below the metal bar as suggested. Will try it out tomorrow after i fill the original transducer holes
