Default ??? Electronics Package ???

I have owned many boats over the years but have only had experience with multi unit systems. By that I mean the combo systems. Hummingbird, Garmin, etc... All in one deals. I have just picked up a 31 Contender and I am looking at updating all the electronics. They work but are all a few years old. I know that there are quite a few brands out there including Garmin, Raymarine, Fruno, Simrad, etc... I don't have a brand preference and don't really care about making a statement about what equipment I have, if that makes sense. With that said, I am a website design and search engine optimization guy. I am very technical and will not have a hard time picking up on a any of the systems. I know that a lot will depend on what type of fishing I do so I will list that next.

-We catch all our own bait and sometimes spend a considerable amount of time weeks before tournaments obtaining gogs.
-Kite Fish
-Bottom Fish
-Sword Fish
-Cross occasionally to the Bahamas and chase the birds for Yellowfins.

I would like to know if there are package deals out there and if I am better off going that route. Again, I do not want low end stuff as I will be using and relying on this stuff a good bit.

Thank you for any all information that you may provide. I am sure that budget will also be a major factor so I am going to throw out 10k? Let me know if you think that will do the job.

When you are done, take me fishing

If money were no object, I would either go with Garmin 8000 series with a GSD26, GCV10 and a CM599LH-W transducer. Or Simrad NSS Evo2 series with a BSM3, LSS-2 Transducer, and a CM599LH-W transducer.

The PM111LH-W would be my next choice for transducer. After that you would probably switch over to single band elements and could use built in sonars of Evo2, or Garmin 1040xs series.

Depends on your budget, and what other things you want. Like autopilot, radar.

I am going to throw out 10k right now as a budget. I would like a full suite of electronics as I will be using the boat to cross over to the Bahamas.

At $10k you'll have to prioritize.
