Default garmin 1040xs

I am thinking of upgrading to the garmin 1040xs and have a few questions. First what transducer would yall recommend. I have the airmar b175m in mind but keeping my options open. I primarily fish between 75 and 200ft deep and looking for the best to see fish and good bottom. The boat is a 31te fountain.

The best would be B175W + GCV-10.

I have the B175W + GCV-10 combo and love it. I was able to read bottom at just over 1000'. Was working very well down past 600'

Using on a 28' Bluewater

Here are a few screen shots of the 1040xs and a B175C-HW.
these were from Canada where the Fraser River meets the St Georia straight .very mixed water conditions..hard to see 5' in the water...
but the B175C-HW and the single band Garmin CHIRP did very good.

I'm finding the entry level TM150M to be very acceptable for salmon fishing to 300'!

This is from Saturday. I virtually watched this salmon come up and take my bait!

Several options...all workable.

For 75' to 200' the B75M or B75H will give good results.....the B75H is what many use when also combined with the GCV 10.

A B175C-HW is far more $ and considered one of the most sensitive transducers for use under 300'.....not good fro bottom detail but excellent for fish.. (targets)

But I think a B75 with side and down scan will be a positive choice ..and a good balance.

I think i am more interested in target detail than bottom. I have plenty of good bottom numbers just need to see whats on them better☺.

They have been pretty productive in the past. Had a real good day about 2 weeks ago. Caught almost a 4 man limit on everything on the bottom.
