Default Speaker help..

The wife bought me some 6.5 JL audio speakers for fathers day. I went to install them but the holes are just a little too big for the mounting screws. Anybody have any suggestions on what I can do to get these things mounted? Thanks for any help.

1/2" star board cut to fit over the old hole and and cut to fit the speakers. through bolt the rings to the boat and screw the speakers to the board and remember to dill into the fiberglass so the speaker screws can grip that also as a 3/8 screw might not hold that speaker on.
