Default Airmar B60- Simrad to Garmin?

Can the plug be changed or does the whole transducer need to be swapped? I haven't decided if I want to swap out my NSS-7, but just curious at this point. If the whole sender requires swapping, I'll probably cancel my train of thought.

Replacing NSS with a Garmin fixed frequency (non CHIRP) sounder will reduce the performance both when it comes to sensitivity and resolution.

If you go to any of the new Garmin units using the 8 pin system all you need to do is use the Garmin 8 pin connector.010-11613-00
