Default Which transducer best suits furuno fcv 627???

Hey guys I'm ready to upgrade my 600w transducer on my furuno fcv 627 to a 1kw which reads bait fish and marlin/tuna, most of my fishing is done in deep waters from 50m to 1000m.
What transducers do you guys recommend ? need to get it installed ASAP for the start of the tuna season in Australia.

Thanks.

Look into any of the 8 element units.:

For the transom the TM260.
For a thu hull the B260..or SS264 pair.

Wide beam..do you mean like a TM270?..excellent for shallow to mid water.

But I thought you wanted to go deep?...you mentioned down to 1000M

A wide beam transducer is really not meant for use in deeper water...the wider the cone the less depth capability.

Ok Gil what's better for trolling and setting up the fish finder to only read down to 100-150metres. For baitfish and Pelagics?

Now you can use the B164 if you are looking for a flush mounted thru hull...very workable at that depth.

For a transom mount I still like the Tm260.

I've used TM260 with FCV-627, worked very well.
