Default Another c80 question

I will be updating the software to the newest version. When I do this it is my understanding that I will loose the radar overlay feature. Is this true? Will I need to add a heading sensor? And if so what is compatible with the unit..? Thanks in advance for any input.

I cannot answer your question, but there is a great Raymarine tech forum at:

http://raymarine.ning.com/forum/cate...istForCategory

During the workweek, answers there are very fast.

Good luck and post-up their response.

EDIT -- this looks like your answer:

If you update to latest software you will lose radar overlay and will need a smart heading sensor. You could use the new EV1 sensor core, you will also need a T70134 Seatalk converter to hook up to the C80
