Default chart question

about a year ago i purchased a lowrance elite 7 now im finnaly getting to understand it more and have the time to sit down and input my gps sites. i have purchased over the past couple years florida sportsman fishing charts. from miami, upper keys, florida bay, middle and i believe i have lower keys.

im going to manualy put the gps cordinates trough a computer program i downloaded a while back. hoping it works and i dont have to buy the lowrance insight.

are these maps accurate or should i buy a chip that brings all the fishing waypoints and wrecks?

Found them to be accurate. Just installed Elite 7 Gold. Ran the GPS to 3 known markers with success. Now to work on the sonar. Have not found the best setup there. Not happy with auto sensitivity and need to experiment in shallow <60' water.

Both modern charts and the the GPS units should be on the same datum: World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS 84) is what is used by default by GPS receivers and by marine charts.
