Default furuno navnet data to sounder and dsc radio

I am trying to get the Navnet position data from my1722C/Nt radar/chartplotter with GPS to display on my Furuno FCV-600L sounder and Standard Horizon Intrepid+GX1270S DSC capable VHF radio. Has anyone done this and can post or send me a wiring schematic indicating which wires go where and which ports to plug the data cables into on the back of the display units? ;?

Is the 1722 a 7" unit?

If so, you only have 3 data ports if I remember correctly.

I think you have to tap into data 2, pins 1 +2. It should be clearly labeled in your manual as NMEA TX. You may also have to select it in the Furuno software, and turn it "On"

Yes it is the 7" display. Using the standard 6 pin connector cables from furuno. They only have 4 wires,pin 1 s green, pin2 is nothing, pin3 is ground, pin4 is white, pin5 is black and pin6 is yellow. Having determined all this, which ones are nmea in and out or positive and negetive? Wires on the radio are white, grey, blue, green, and brown from clockwise direction. This is getting kinda messed up, a schematic would be a great help.

Some temporary help..........Furuno Navnet 6 pin port connectors should be outfitted with their standard NMEA input and output ports. Furuno uses both RS232 and RS422 ports. As Mr. Fishey said, make sure you turn "on" the NMEA sentences of interest to your other units via your menu system. I believe you can access this on your Navnet by MENU; SYSTEM CONFIGURATION; SYSTEM SETUP; PORT SETUP soft keys then selecting port of interest. Wiring should be;

1. white (NMEA output +) (TD-A)
2. black (NMEA output -) (TD-B)
3. yellow (NMEA input +) (RD-A)
4. green (NMEA input -) (RD-B)
5. not connected (NC)
6. shield ground / bare

In your case the white and black wires should be connected on a terminal block to the input wires of both your finder and VHF. Multiple listeners are fine. Here is a sample schematic of NMEA interfacing I have done, although it was for 7-pin Navnet ports with other equipment.

If you need more info I should be able to chime in again......
