Default Help me pick a GPS/FF Furuno or Garmin or ???

I have been looking at the Garmin 188c the 3005 ( with modules ) and the Furuno GP7000.
I know the 188c is the cheapest, but I'm looking for a nice unit with the largest screen possible.

How do charts compare on Furuno vs the Garmin?

Any Raymarine units that compare???

Also board vendors I am welcoming quotes via PM.

Thanks,
Pete

Are you open to seperates?
I would take the Furuno GP7000 over the Garmin product for FF. The 3005C is a great unit but the Furuno FF is better. The 188C is very small when you split the screen in half. Raymarine makes great FF but they dont make any cheap combos. Other units to consider is the Furuno 1650, 1850 and NAVMAN 6600 fish plotter. Lowrance makes some affordable units as well. The Lowrance 332 LCX-25C to name a few. Its really up to you to narrow it down. I personally would take the Furuno product..
