Default Garmin 3005c - Network Bundle?? Dealers-

The 3006c network bundle looks like a tremendous deal. Any chance Garmin will be offering the 3005c in a network bundle? I want to flush mount mine and the the 3006c is just a little wide. The 3005c will fit fine, but I haven't seen it in a network bundle yet. Have any of the dealers on this site heard anything?

By the way, what would the price be for the 3005c with the comparable "network bundle" components? thanks,

The 3005C with GDL-30A and GSD-20 is cheaper than a 3006C bundle. Unless you are getting the Radar you really dont need the GSM-10 network hub. I havent heard of Garmin puttung a network package for the 3005C. I think it was mostly designed as a second station unit rather than a primary. Remember, the 3005C is a 3006C without some of the options like the numerical keypad and video inputs ect.. The 3005C will still work great as a primary unit..

Will the 3005 accept a radar option? Might be a good fit for me if it does.

Thanks for the info.

So the GSM-10 network hub isn't required when using both the GDL-30A and the GSD-20 with the 3005c?

No it isn't. It is for hooking up a radar to the system or multible head units.

SWFL- One of the biggest turnoffs to a potential customer is to insult the competition. Especially when you don't know if your competition is a "used car salesman", an "ambulance chaser" or now, maybe a "cook"!

When Wiley made the decision to allow Vendors to market their wares here on THT, I was very leery of this type of childishness becoming widespread. For the longest time it seemed to work real well... until the last couple of weeks with this kind of crap!

Competition is good for all, so if you guys want to compete go ahead and try to underbid yourselves to death...through e-mails! BTW- You did the exact same thing yesterday!

FWIW- I see a lot of thanks and compliments paid to a number of vendors. If I had to count, I would say you don't rank at the top. Wonder why? ;?

Big E, for starters I DONT ASK customers to " PLEASE POST SOMETHING NICE FOR ME". Second you wanna talk about BAD BUISNESS.. When I had my old forum, customers would ask for price quotes on MY FORUM and NOT in the electronics forum. Next thing I know my customers were telling me they were recieving UNSOLICITED price quotes from John via MY FORUM.. NOW THATS BAD BUISNESS... I was paying over $300 for a forum that was supporting another VENDOR... I had to delete posts off my forum before he could step in uninvited.... lets not even go into the website thing.. his fault or not.... Im sure if JIM from By Owner was to chime in here you'd get the same story.. you should always here both sides of the story..

I take turns in my purchasing, so I guess SWL is next since I have been cut off from any other good deals.

back to the 3005c for just a minute...

1) will the power cable/harness from a 182c match up, or is rewiring required?
2) i assume it is external antenna only?
3) does it matter how close/apart the gps & xm antennae are mounted?
4) is it going to be obselete in a few months...? will there be a new fixed mount with the xm internal antenna like the 376c?
5) is it likely that there will be an xm-only display coming out any time soon?
