Default Furuno Navnet radar problem

I installed a Furuno Navnet radar system and I have a problem with orientation. I have the system set for “course up” and as I approach objects, they are coming in from behind me (bottom of screen). Anybody have a clue on what I’m doing wrong or how to fix this. Any input is very much appreciated.

Read the book. Easy to adjust heading.

I have seen this before with radar antenna mounted backward.
If this is a new install, maybe take a quick peek at the antenna.

There should be a bearing alignment adjustment on the radar. Check you manual, it should show you step by step how to do this.

Is this a new installation? What model? You need to do your heading adjust per manual. Very easy to do. The 24" domes are 180deg off from the factory. this link will do the job for you. Mark

Thanks for the reponses. This is a new install but I'm pretty sure the antenna is not backwards. With limited time to get out on the water, I've been fishing instead of reading the manual although I did spend a bit of time the other day with no success. I'll take the time to read the manual in depth and figure this out. I guess I was hoping that there was a screen that I missed that you quickly adjust the bearing. Thanks again.

Mark, thank you so much for your input. I have the 24 in dome and that is exactly the info I was looking for. I'll get it straightened out tomorrow while fishing!

That’s me…instructions are only for when it doesn’t work. Reading the manual just takes away from play time.

Check to make sure you have the right antenne code in the installation procedure. I had the wrong alpha code (A-E)
and I was reading 180^ off. Then I reread the directions.

Good Luck
