Default Garmin customer service

I know how much people like to complain when they get treated poorly. Theres an old saying, something along the lines of: "if you get a raw deal you tell ten people, if you get a good deal you tell three." Well I'm turning it upside down.

garmin stepped up to the plate recently, and its worth sharing.

I had an old 540s that's been broken for quite some time. Its an older unit, and has since been replaced by the 541 or 541s. They don't repair it anymore as they don't have parts, or so they say. They did tell me they would give me 20% off the newer model! which is the 541s. I told them that was nice but I can find it online cheaper than that so it does me no good. Threw a little bit of sugar there way, and they decided to send me a new 541s for $250.

Well alright. Not too Shabby at all. Plus one for good customer service. Oh yeah, and total hold time and automated phone time was under a minute. American techs with very little waiting.
