Default Has anyone replaced a flush mount Ray54 radio?

Need to replace Ray54 in console. Cutout is 6"x3". Evidently the next gen Raymarine model uses a smaller cutout and is not a direct replacement. Can anyone confirm this? Any suggestions for a good direct replacement that will not require a different cutout and connections. Thanks.

I did exactly that. Unfortunately, I don't recall which model I used. I had to expand the hole very slightly and it worked out just fine.
