Default furuno fcv627 or koden cvs126

Looking into getting a new fishfinder. Been checking out the furuno fcv627 and the koden cvs126. Just not real sure on kodens/sitex. Any help would be appreciated.

Both will serve you well.

The Furuno FCV627 would be my choice if you want a unit that will give outstanding results and last forever.
The Koden/Sitex are good units also but the Furuno is just an excellent overall sonar...and a proven sonar circuit.

And the FCV627 being a 600 watt sonar another option is the Furuno GP1870F..600/1000 watts ...so basically the same price .

I had the Furuno 620 on my last boat and I just loved it. I just bought another 620 for my new boat. I have not used the 627 or have any idea what changes or enhancements Furuno made to the 627. I had a Koden unit many years ago and it did the job but it is like comparing your old Motorola bag phone to you new I-Phone 5. Get the Furuno if you don't like it I'll buy it from you.

I started looking at the 1870 and definitley like it. Thinking about it and keeping my current koden gps.i have just never been impressed with koden. I work on a tow boat and we have two koden radars and have had nothing but problems. And my koden gps on my cape horn gets the job done but not satisfied with it. And i hear a lot of good out of furuno.
