Default Radar on small cc

I have a 21' Steiger Long Beach w/o a T-top. I would like to install radar on it - we keep the boat where the fog rolls in very quickly - but because i mostly fly fish, I'm wondering whether there is a way to install it at or near the top of the console's windshield so that I don't get my line wrapped around the mounting pole. Perhaps an installation like this wouldn't provide enough clearance above the waterline for the radar to be worthwhile, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for your help.

The radar dome needs to be mounted higher than your head so you don't fry your melon with radiation, so on top of the console would not work. There are mounting poles made by Seaview that will get the radar high enough, but will then probably be in your way for flyfishing: http://www.pyiinc.com/index.php?sect...pt_id=216&sn=4
