Default mounting gps antena

I'm mounting the antena on hard top. The top is not flat. Will the curve make a difference in reception or would I have to fare it like a transducer?

It will not make a difference other than cosmetic looks.

I've seen the GPS antennas mounted in fiberglass enclosures & they still work just fine. You will not have any problems.

You will have no trouble with reception when mounting to the hardtop. It does not have to be straight up.

Use a SS ratchet mount. It adjusts at two different pivot points to where your antenna will sit upright no matter what angle the base is anchored.

shakespere makes a 5 inch SS mount and sell wedges for the mount. You can get it level looking without any trouble - gives a prefessional mounted look...
