Default Standard Horizon GPS Help

I recently set up my CPV-350 to follow a route comprised of about 8 waypoints, and set the unit up to display a split screen with the chart/highway option. This was on a semi-familiar route, so I didn't NEED the GPS, but I want to set safe routes up in case I have to come back at night, etc.

I noticed after traveling to about where my 2nd and 3rd waypoints were, that the scenery wasn't changing on the highway page. The chart portion of the display was working fine. I switched to full screen highway mode, and the same results- it seemed frozen. I tried stopping and restarting the route with no luck; I also powered down and restarted the unit- same results.

No HUGE deal; I could follow the chart if needed, but still has me curious.

But the real head-scratcher? Now I can't get the unit to switch back to the full screen chart display. I have "chart" programmed into one of the soft keys at the bottom of the screen. When I am in another mode; say sonar, and press the chart soft key, it takes me to the chart/highway split screen. Even if I select the full chart option from the main menu, it goes to the same split screen.

Any ideas here?

I think it's bad karma for not buying the Garmin 740 I wanted in the first place...

Call Standard their CS is top notch, I have had a CP150/155/170/175/500/180, sometimes it's a Cmap issue. I recently found a bug in my CP500 and reported it, the software is written in Italy.
