I have a HH36. The only thing I can say is that the radio is load and clear and have the best user interface I've seen on a handheld (alsmost identical to the wireless handset HS35) The radio is a bit bulky, but I guess that's the case for all floating DSC radios.
Since it's my backup unit I don't know much about battery life.

hi Abbor
I don´t care about bulky, but on the PWC i need a floating/waterproof VHF.
Lost a Nexus NX1000 last year in 1.5m of Water.... total loss due to flooding
And it seems we in Germany are at a point where i can use it legally on the waverrunner
