Seeking advice on Garmin setup with XM weather radar
26 Pursuit CC typically fishing up to 30 plus miles offshore Port Canaveral FL boat has a Furuno Navnet 10" screen with no radar, but think I am leaning towards adding a Garmin device with XM Weather. What is the best bang for the buck for making this happen. Boat also has a Clarion CMD 7 receiver is is possible to share the signal for the XM radio?

I have a GXM31 satellite antenna plugged into a 545S GPS with the "Mariner Package" from Garmin. The XM signal has 2 RCA type outputs that go into the aux input of my receiver and the wether radar/alerts are fed into the 545. The XM is controlled through the 545 also, works great for me. I purchased them about 6 years ago.

i have a garmin 3210 with xm weather and won't leave the dock without it. it is fantastic and helps you understand where the storms are and where they are going

I've used them all Garmin 376 GXM 30, 545 with GXM 31, 740 GXM 51, and now a 547 with the same GXM 51 I used on the 740. As alacrity said .... I wouldn't leave the dock without. XM Weather has saved. save my backside numerous time.

GPSMap 376c GXM 30 still running strong and in my ditch bag.

If you decide to buy I would recommend the Garmin 547 with a GXM 51
